In November I was introduced to Kelly Barker. Kelly lives in Michigan and I live in California. The two of us met because we both had a mutual friend (Richard Norris) who knew our hearts would connect, and he was right. Thank you Richard!

From  my first phone call with Kelly in December to the one we had  a few minutes ago, the two of us have been able to communicate a friendship without ever having been face-to-face. We’ve restructured a business, a non-profit (with the help of many wonderful friends)  and while we are very different in our gifts and talents we are very much alike. The one thing I learned from accomplishing so much with someone who I’ve never met face-to-face  is that in order to  work closely  with someone, one must trust that someone.

That’s why  I now  understand how The Holy Spirit can share  with my heart the details of what I need to accomplish each day and I am able to “get”  it. Examples set are sometimes so simple and life changing,  and this is what my Appointment with God is about . It’s about: CHANGING A LIFE!

Recently Kelly was informed about a child in Haiti who is in need of immediate attention, who truly needs “A MIRACLE!”

From Kelly’s words…

Daniel, who is 3 months old, has a rare blood disorder. He has to have many transfusions, and the doctors in Haiti have done all they can, and Daniel is now fighting hard for his life.

Because of the efforts of many friends help is now on the way for Daniel.
Dr. Matthew Davis, Associate Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Michigan has arranged for U of M to donate his care and treatment. Global Flying Hospitals, the humanitarian medical logistics firm is working with many resources to contract a life flight for an international transport from Haiti to Michigan.

The only expense that is needed to bring Daniel to the US is money for the flight to save his life. This will be 4 hours of flying time with a special pediatric medical team to monitor his care in the pressurized cabin. The cost to transport Daniel is: $10,000.

Kelly is working with many people to give Daniel his miracle and the list reads like this:

The University of Michigan, Global Flying Hospitals, Rhema International, Dr. Matthew Davis, Dr. Bethel Laine, William Rogers, Sarah Parker, Kelly Ramsey, Patrick and Ryan West@Charity Splits, MetroSweep Services, IntregrysEnergy, Ramona@Rographix, Ellen Moser, and Chelsea@Level27.

NOW, the rest is up to us.

Each day I open my Bible and read about the many miracles that took place thousands of years before me. I than thank God for all the wonderful appointments He has made with me during my life, but today God is giving me the opportunity to be part of the miracle. I get to actually watch the miracle play out. I get to donate, and I get to choose what I get to donate.

From this moment on until Daniel is safely back in Haiti, I get the opportunity to be a part of his miracle, and it’s all because my friend said to me, “HEY, LET’S GO GET DANIEL!”

And, my heart was just reminded that like Abram in the Book of Genesis , “The LORD had said to Abram, “Leave your country, your people and your father’s household and go to the land I will show you. Genesis 12:

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Leave this place, you and the people you brought up out of Egypt, and go up to the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ Exodus 33:1

And then Jesus said… 34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. 35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you? 40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’ Matthew 25:34-40

If God put it on your heart to read all the way to here I pray that you close your eyes… open your heart and listen, and if God tells you to, “GO GET DANIEL!”
